"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

✨ EXPLANATION

Have you ever felt like the challenges or temptations in your life were simply too much to handle? 😔 Maybe you have struggled with anger, fear, dishonesty, addiction, anxiety, pride, unforgiveness, or giving up on your faith. At times, it may seem as though you are the only person facing such battles. 1 Corinthians 10:13 reminds us that this is not true. God wants every believer to know that they are never alone in their struggles.

The verse begins by saying, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man." This means that the temptations and trials you face are not unique. Throughout history, countless people have experienced similar struggles. Even faithful men and women in the Bible faced temptation. Knowing this should encourage us because it reminds us that we are not isolated in our battles. 🤝

Many people mistakenly believe that temptation itself is a sin. However, temptation is not the same as sin. Even Jesus Christ was tempted, yet He never sinned. The real question is how we respond when temptation comes. Will we rely on our own strength, or will we trust God to help us overcome it? 💪🙏

This verse also teaches us the importance of staying spiritually prepared. Regular prayer, reading God's Word, surrounding yourself with other believers, and avoiding situations that encourage sin all help us recognize the "way of escape" that God provides.
