Peter: From Fisherman to Follower of Jesus

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church.”
— Matthew 16:18

1. THE BEGINNING: A SIMPLE FISHERMAN

Peter was a fisherman by trade when Jesus called him to leave his nets and follow Him.

His journey began as an ordinary man with an ordinary occupation, but Jesus saw something greater in him.

2. THE TRANSFORMATION: A BOLD FOLLOWER

As Peter walked with Jesus, he grew in faith and became a bold follower and witness.

He saw Jesus perform miracles, heard His teachings, and experienced firsthand the power and presence of Christ.

Peter was passionate, courageous, and willing to step out in faith—even when his faith was still growing.

3. THE MISTAKES: HUMAN BUT REAL

Peter was deeply devoted to Jesus, but he was also imperfect.

When Jesus was arrested, Peter denied knowing Him three times.

His failure revealed his human weakness, but it did not mark the end of his story.

Jesus did not reject Peter because of his failure.

4. THE RESTORATION: GRACE THAT RENEWS

After His resurrection, Jesus restored Peter with love and purpose.

His restoration shows that failure does not have to be the final chapter when we return to Jesus.
