Proverbs 19:17 (KJV)

"He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again."

The message found in Proverbs 19:17 is one of the most encouraging verses in the Bible about kindness, generosity, compassion, and God's reward. It reminds us that every act of genuine kindness shown to someone in need is noticed by God Himself. ❤️

The verse begins by saying, "He that hath pity upon the poor...". The word "pity" does not simply mean feeling sorry for someone. Instead, it means having genuine compassion that leads to action. Poverty comes in many forms.
